You win some, you eat some....

Skinnytaste is a wondrous blog full of flavorful and healthy recipes that I frequent.  Skinnytaste - I love you!

Yesterday, I saw a post for PB&J Healthy Oatmeal Cookies so naturally, I rushed home to make them.  I started making them (aka inhaling peanut butter) and then forced myself to get on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes while my bananas defrosted.  I did it.  I also got a stomach cramp from all the peanut butter I had previously ingested like an ass

Anyway, after 30 minutes at 3.0 and some odd reps of arm bands (that I did not have my heart into), I happily bounced back upstairs to make my "cookies."

These were easy to make and very pretty.

I modified a bit and put the jelly on during the last 10 minutes of baking.  What do you think?  This is my photo (I'm so proud).

Verdict?  Just don't call them cookies.  If you call them "snack bites" or better yet, "oatmeal things" they would be better received (at least to me).  Also, maybe don't use bananas that were black in your freezer.  Blech.  Maybe a dash of honey would do you good.  Plus I used natural PB so there was NO sugar in these whatsoever.

Overall?  Great healthy snack.

But it's no cookie.
