Product help...Face lotion

Ok ladies, what lotion do you use on your face?  Do you use a night cream and a daily lotion?  Tell me what your favorites are!

I am searching for a new product that will not cost me an arm and a leg...but I will invest a bit.  I just received a sample of Clinique something and I LOVE it!  Only issue is that there is no SPF and that's a must.  So, I could use it at night, so I need a daytime lotion.

Eye cream?  I have been using Mary Kay and I like it, plus I really like the roller applicator.

My skin has been on the drier side lately but I will blame that on the weather.

Can't wait to hear the feedback;  I know you gals ( and guys I guess) love your products!

Thanks!

This may sound odd, but for the past week I've been using 100% grapeseed oil on my face every night. Just a couple drops. My skin is so soft, it helps remove makeup, and my skin tone is evening out. It's crazy.

In the morning I used a tinted moisturizer by Smashbox that has sunscreen in it (don't ask how much, I can't remember!)

Sarah - just grapeseed oil? No moisturizer at all?

I love all things Smashbox and would look into that - plus tinted! Can't go wrong! Thanks!

yep, just pure grapeseed oil. Bought it at Claudias (last year actually, to make some home-made sugar scrub that never happened). So I found it last week and thought I'd give it a try to remove my eye make-up. Perfect! And it felt so good. So I googled it, and sure enough, people use it as a moisturizer.

And yes, the Smashbox stuff is great. Rather than thick nasty liquid foundation, the tinted moisturizer is just the right consistency and coverage!

I've been using Lancome Bienfait Multi-vital w/ SPF 30 for a few years and I swear by it. It's really lightweight and not greasy at all. (and even though it has spf in it, I will use it at night if needed - you just never know when you might need spf at night... )

For my eyes, I use Lancome Genifique Eye ... it helps reduce the ever-present dark circles.

Thanks Traci! I LOVE the Lancome eye makeup remover so the face lotion is worth a try!

I am HORRIBLE about using anything on my face. I don't wear makeup and I don't even wash my face every day :/ I just hate the feel of things on my face. It bugs me.

I use some Mary kay lotion when my face is a bit drier and then in the winter maybe once a week I will use an Olay night cream.

I need to do this more...I am looking broke down!! ;-)

the oil interests me that S. was talking about.

If you find something you love, let me know!

UGH, I could talk about this FOREVER.

First off, now is the time when we need to start doing as much anti-aging stuff as possible. And, daily sunscreen use IS important. Next up? Moisturizing and ALSO exfoliating. (Again, I could talk about this for DAYS.)

In the morning, I use Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Liquid SPF 70 (http://www.twopretzels.com/2012/07/what-to-buy-monday-products-i-currently.html) first and foremost. Now, I do this because I live on the sun.

Next, I use a tinted moisturizer by Laura Mercier (http://www.twopretzels.com/2011/08/my-current-faves-alternate-title.html). It works for me.

At night, I use an eye cream (eye hope, Kate Sommerville, R.O.C., Ole Henriksen -- you name it.) I think it's just important that you're doing extra moisturizing in your eye ear. Remember to dab on with your ring finger, lightly. That skin is so delicate.

Next, I use Kate Sommerville's daily moisturizer.

Keep in mind that now is the time that we need retinol, too.

If you're happy with what you're using now! KEEP on keepin' on.

Just know that there is a small upheaval in the cosmetics industry because the regulations regarding sunscreen in makeup/cosmetics is apparently not governed by the same body that governs ACTUAL sunscreens. So makeups can say that have 70 SPF and really have 15. It wears off and obviously isn't reapplied every 3-4 hours. They're working on this, I guess.

SO, then there's that.

Stay out of the sun. Where a hat. Moisturize. :)

YES! I was WAITING on your reply! I am not familiar with retinol so now is the time apparently. I have not been exfoliating either - I think I need to go get schooled at Sephora.

Thank you for the advice. I have been using an eye cream from MK that has a roller so I love that!

The other question is - do you wear PRIMER? I feel like my makeup sometimes just SOAKS into my skin because my new clinique moisturizer works so well.

It's not easy being beautiful! :)
