On Tuesday, the Chef and I did a little car shopping. His Toyota 4-Runner has been an amazing beast of a car for him, but it's time for a new one. We are looking for a smaller SUV with 4WD that also has good gas mileage. Ford Escape, Chevy Equinox ended up high on our list. First we went to a Ford dealership in Toledo. The manager had to find a salesman to assist us and then from there it was like pulling teeth with this guy. I truly felt like we were interrupting his day. Never asked our names, did not offer to have us drive a car, did not even get keys when we walked on the lot. Chevy was the total opposite end of the spectrum. Greeted at the door. Information right away with offer to drive. Salesman was nice and personable and rode along on the test drive. Asked US questions on what we wanted. I love it! Love the process. Love a nice salesperson who listens. The Equinox is a great car. No idea if the Escape is because we didn't really get a lot of info with just looking at the stickers in the lot. What a difference the experience is based on who takes care of you. Do you have an SUV? What kind and do you like it?
