Star Wars: 3D

Finally!  I saw my first 3-D movie.  I was sad that the lenses were not the original blue and red, but rather grey like those transitions when you have come in from outside and they are still adjusting.

Being a giant Star Wars geek fan, I was pumped up to see this movie again on the big screen and in 3D no less.  To add to my excitement, I had just finished a book called Star Wars: Darth Plagueis.  What can I say, it interests me.  I have tried to read chic lit and I hate it.  Star Wars novels?  Awesome.  This book covers the era of the Old Republic before Star Wars:  Episode I and details Palpatine's training and rise to power.   We also meet Palpatine's master (Plagueis) and find out about his beginnings, who his master was, uncover a history of the Sith, and learn more information about Darth Maul (which we all want), among so many other details that I won't bore you with spoil for you since you obviously want to read this book.  This book would make an awesome movie - it is a very dark and sinister book with nefarious characters.

I read this on my iPad which was very enjoyable.  The back light was so nice and I found that I could read in the car, on the treadmill, and in bed.  Another nifty feature is that you can click on a word and the dictionary will define it for you.  LOVED IT!

Back to the movie - Podrace scene was even cooler in 3D, Jar Jar Binks still annoying in 3D, but just seeing it again was thilling. It took about 10 minutes to get adjusted to the 3D, but then it didn't bother me or make me sick like omnimax.  I was worried about that.

Looking forward to the next Star Wars release!  Also, I will be reading a book about Darth Vader next.

I once read a Star Wars book and loved it and I can't figure out why I haven't read more. Part of me doesn't know where to start but that shouldn't stop me from reading them.

I have yet to see a 3D movie.
