Superbowl Review

What did you think?

I really enjoyed the Superbowl this year - maybe because I was in the comfort of my own home and we had amazing food (that never hurts), we played the squares board, drank some was just FUN.  I didn't care AT ALL which team won so it was more of a social event.

Christina Aguerlia can sing.  I know she messed up one WORD of the National Anthem, but at least she didn't have a nipple slip.

The halftime show was entertaining.  Come on, admit was.  Even if you don't like Fergie, or the Black-Eyed Peas, you know it was better than watching very old people that look really old now, just stand there and not sound like themselves.  Sorry, but it's true.  Entertainment is meant to entertain.  Plus they had SLASH.  (please sing with me).....AAAAMAZINGGGGG........

What was your favorite commercial? A few stood out in my mind, for instance the Doritos one where the roommate sprinkled the Grandpa back to life.  Here was my favorite though:

Oh, and the actual game was good too. It was a decent match and not a blow out. I almost forgot that there was an actual GAME happening since there was so much stimulus.

Sorry, but I thought the half-time show was awful. Not just because of the awful singing (and holy hell, it was buh-add!). They were boring. They didn't move. I would have much rather watched The Who again, a million times over.

Now, Slash was cool. But she disgraced that song. Horribly.

Also, yes Christina has an awesome voice, she can belt. But does she really have to do all those runs? I find it rather annoying. A few runs? Sure. Every other word? Too much.

"The Force" commercial was my favorite too! We watched it twice. Seriously, cracked me up! I wasn't as impressed with the commercials this year, but there were a couple that made me laugh.

Oh Christina, Christina. She can sing but I just wish the National Anthem was sung more pure, not all those runs. It just takes away from it. And that would be SO embarrassing not getting the words right for such a big event. That stinks for her.

I was torn on the half-time show. I don't really like the Black-Eyed Peas anyway, so going in I was indifferent about their performance. Slash was a great surprise, but didn't make sense. It was upbeat and "ok" until I saw Usher (I can not STAND him) but what was the worst was when I heard that quick snippet of Time of My Life. What was that?! I didn't love it but I didn't hate it.

What I DID hate was reading of the Declaration of Independence. WTF was that about?! Was it because we were in Texas and had to be all American or something. Made NO SENSE what-so-ever.

What I loved was that my family was in town and we had the best food! Wings, potato skins, nachos, and other snacks. I was in a food coma over half the game!

Oh, and the game was actually pretty good.

My favorite commercial was the Chrysler 200/Detroit one for sure.

We greatly enjoyed the halftime show, but it was mainly because of Athena's singing and dancing.

Sitting at home watching it and celebrating Louis' birthday was SUPER fun.

I loved that commercial too, I didn't hear the Anthem. Halftime was boring, didn't like it. I loved Slash but hated Fergie butchering Sweet Child. I love that song and she toadally F'ed it up! Sounded horrible.
