It's just obscene and marvelous all at once

While shopping last night at the local meat market Zavotski's, I almost tripped over the biggest vegetable I have ever seen.  I mean, I was so floored, I immediately picked it up and exclaimed aloud, "Is this real???"

The good people at Zavotski's know me and totally got a kick out of my reaction, therefore and egged me on by telling me the whole story of the mutant carrot.  I definitely had mouth agape syndrome for a full two minutes.  I HAD to buy it.  I just HAD TO.  Then I took pictures of it next to household objects and winter-white body parts so you can witness and also marvel in its gigantor.

This is why you're one of my favorite people ever. I don't know why, but the carrot on top of the TV made me laugh out loud.

That carrot is astounding. Good purchase.

HAHAHA! You are awesome.

That carrot is CRAZY BIG! Love it and I love how you gave us points of reference!

So are you going to cook with it or put it in a freezer and bring it out at parties?!

Awesome!

Wow! That is obscene. AND this is the best post ever. You should preserve it. It'd be a great conversation starter at parties.

I'm with Amber -- this is the best post by anyone, ever. If I ever feel sad, all I need to do is look at these pictures of your mutant carrot. Seriously -- I just laughed harder with every single picture!

I have to ask: How much did they charge you for Carrot Gigantor?

Ha ha ha!

I think the carrot just looks bigger because you are a hobbit.

This is so ridiculous!

I'd like to know how much they charged you for that. Hopefully it wasn't by the pound.

I feel as though this carrot should be incorporated into your wedding somehow. Like as part of your bouquet or something!

Just awesome.

It was on the pricey side - $2.99 for a carrot and a half. There was a half stump in the bag.

I couldn't love you more Een! I would have bought it too. And I would absolutely preserve it. Maybe it can be shallacked (sp?) and permantly reside on your tv. Best idea ever.
