I read an article in Self, or Shape or some other self-loathing magazine advising it's readership to drink water at different temperatures at different times throughout the day to boost metabolism.
Ok - let's give it a shot. Why the hell not?
In the am, you are supposed to drink hot water with a squeeze of real lemon and lemon zest (use the microplane - it rocks). Surprise - I love this. Before lunch and all meals, lukewarm water. No surprise - this is boring as shit. Iced water the rest of the day. Done.
I've lost 8 pounds in 3 days. KIDDING. I can see the philosophy behind this and it gives me something to do at work :)
