Louis and I spent 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic back before it became a hot destination. There was a Haitian uprising on the other side of the island and armed guards lining the hotel's perimeter. Beautiful, poor country that is probably better to visit now (minus the Cholera that's spreading to there from Haiti) but I don't think we'll be going back.Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Aruba are my favorite places to go. They are definitely tied for 1st place.
Bora Bora is amazing. But too far for your fiance. The prettiest beaches are the Virgin Islands. What about Bermuda? Such a short flight(off the coast of the carolinas). Not crystal clear water though. I will report back on Puerto Rico after February. Can't wait to see you.
We went on a cruise to the Bahamas on our honeymoon. When I lived on the East Coast, it was my favorite vacation destination. Now, Hawaii is my favorite spot - any island, any time! It is so relaxing, amazingly beautiful, and romantic.
We went on a cruise - to Jamaica (my favorite), Grand Cayman and Cozumel. I loved the cruise, I'd never been on one before, and I loved all that we could do.
We went to St. Lucia and had a BLAST. It was perfect in October. The flights there from Ohio? Relentless. The time we had there? AMAZING.I think you should honeymoon in Cabo.I mean, if it's good enough for every celebrity...:)
Miami and Key West. Love Key West! I would move there right now. I'm too pale (and modest) for Miami.
We went on a cruise that took off from Boston. It went up the shore and into Canada. We loved it!
We honeymooned in Key West, and we loved it. Very chill, tons to see, nice places to stay, great food, great bars. We flew into Miami and drove down through the Keys, which was a LOVELY drive -- highly recommended. :)
We never went on a Honeymoon :( We spent a day back home in Amish country but were so busy with work at the time we never got to take one. BIG regret of mine.Infact, we have never been on vacation just the two of us since we started dating 10 years ago. We went to New Orleans with my family in 2004 and are going with them to Hilton Head next year. But that is it. So my list is VERY long of places I would love to go.
WP-again with the crazy similarities!
Favorite vacation spot. I hardly ever go to the same place twice, but I would LOVE to go to Jackson Hole, WY again. We went in the summer time, so I would like to check it out in the winter for skiing! It was an awesome place.(I'm much more of a Mountain person than I am beach gal)
