Opinions Please

Please lend me your opinions and experiences - this is the time to be long winded.

I cannot find foundation/powder that I like.

I cannot find foundation/powder that does not look orange if I have too much on.

I cannot find foundation/powder that will stay on past 11am.

I am outside quite a bit and need some help.  I am not super tan but not pasty either.  I am not going for the "Snookie" look but nice coverage and a clean healthy look.  I'm 30, so I'm not fooling anyone either but I HATE HATE HATE caked on makeup.

I have heard about bare minerals but is it really THAT good?  Is the investment worth it?  Do I need the kit or just the individual pots?

Help!  Thoughts?

I just started using Bare Minerals a few months ago and I LOVE it. I cannot say enough about it. I started typing an comment about why and realized it should really be an email - too long. Check your email!

i too have struggled with foundation staying put, and i think i found a winning combo--smashbox primer with lacome photogenic lumessence liquid foundation. The primer makes it stay put and the foundation has a sheer finish so it doesn't look heavy at all. :)

Bare minerals changed my life. I'm not kidding you.

I always struggled with finding a "foundation" or whatever that worked.

When I tried bare minerals a few years ago, I was SHOCKED by how much I loved it. Here's why: it covers. Powder ACTUALLY covers. I live in the LAND of hot weather and this stuff STAYS on my face. It doesn't melt off.

It's great because you can control the coverage. Use as LITTLE or as much as you'd like.

And, I had about once-a-month breakouts and since I've been using Bare Minerals for about 3 or 4 years, even CRAIG has noticed how I very rarely have breakouts. The stuff is AMAZING.

I highly suggest you head to sephora or the bare minerals store and have them do you up. Buy the starter kit. (It's worth it, you get the brushes and everything.) Go home, watch the DVD.

Seriously, give it a shot.

I really, really think you might love it.

AND, I like that the starter kit comes with two different shades of foundation/powder that works when you're darker or lighter.

LOVE it. WORTH the investment.

I LOVE BareMinerals and agree 100% to what Ky said! It's amazing. I just use the pots...and their brushes. You can't go wrong.

I'm with everyone...

YES, Bare Minerals is soooo worth it.

I've been using it for 3 years, and like Kylee said - it changed my life :)

She's right. It DOES NOT melt off. It stays. Even in this humidity.

And, my skin has never looked better.

Just do it.

I love that everyone else is so in love with this stuff too! I was thinking that maybe I was way too excited about it and a little bit of a dork. But seriously - it is amazing! If you want someone to go to the BM store with you - sign me up!

I have it and I like it. I don't really use it all that often because even though I NEED makeup on my face I hate to take the time to put it on. I do like that this stuff feels light and covers wonderfully, but I don't like how long it takes me to put it on.

I may need to watch the DVD again as I am NOT quick about putting it on. Of course I also refuse to dry my hair because it takes too long and putting on chapstick is the extent of the time I am willing to give to my face in the maybe I am not a good judge of how long it takes to put this stuff on!

As someone who doesn't like makeup I have to say this stuff is the best I ever used and feels like I have nothing on, I just wish it took a little less of my time.
