Man DOWN!

The enormous statue of Jesus on the side of I-75 was struck by lightning and actually burned to the GROUND last night.  Some call this statue Touch Down Jesus for obvious reasons, but I call him Big Butter Jesus from the Haywood Banks song as heard on Bob and Tom (see below).  Is anyone else worried about an apolypse?  Let's think about the sssssymbolism here....an enormous statue of Christ gets struck by fire and perishes?  I don't know about you, but I'm gonna behave for a while....

So sad, I had to share the big butter song with the coworkers this morning. I just drove by him this weekend, I didn't try to take a picture of him this time but I usually do. Maybe he will rise again in three days.

For some fun photos of him go to http://jeeeb.us

I'm sad about this.

(My word verification is: hangamag. That seemed like a lot to type.)

lol, I posted the same video. I find the burning down of touchdown Jesus hilariously ironic.

Supposedly it was insured... but as I've seen pointed out several times - will it be covered? IT was an act of GOD!
