Modern Classics: 100 Movies To See Before You Die

How could I NOT click on that title on Yahoo's home page?

This is an incredible list of 100 movies made in the last 10 years that you MUST see according to Yahoo as they are the "modern classics."  I would tend to agree with the majority of this list but there are few titles in there that I have never even heard of before now.

Chungking Express?

There are also a few titles that I feel were left out.

Drop Dead Fred, 1991.

Moving on, I have seen 51 of these 100 movies and was shocked that my numbers were this low.  Looks like I have some work to do.  Although this list is just, like someone's opinion, man....

Sweet post! I've seen 55 of them. I'm disappointed in myself, since try to be a movie buff. I emailed this list to the hubbs for ideas for cheap rentals! If you haven't seen "Momento" or "Run, Lola, Run", I highly recommend them. They're sorta of obscure ones - I watched them in film class in college.

Wait, wouldn't Drop Dead Fred be from the last *20* years??

(Holy crap, 1990 was 20 years ago. I AM OLD.)

BTW, my count was 59. I couldn't believe my number was so high! We hardly ever watch movies anymore -- so maybe it was good that it was from the last 20 years and not the last 2 or 3. Eek. I need to get busy.

(We did watch "Oldboy," and let me tell you: It was probably the most disturbing movie I've ever seen, EVER. Evereverever. To the point where it's the barometer by which we measure every other disturbing movie.)

OMG! I am so ridiculous that I thought that 1991 was in the realm of this movie era.

I'm old too (but ob.vious.ly a classic).

Pretty good list!

PS. About the geocaching - This might be helpful... I know you can geocache from an iphone and some other phones... but not sure how to do it. :-)

eeek, I only saw 49....I may be watching the wrong kind of movies as I have no interest in seeing many of the movies on that list!

P.S. I also feel old as I remember when some of these movies came out and I really thought they were just a couple years ago....not 10 or more!

OH MY GOSH, OH MY GOSH....

I JUST got a copy of Drop Dead Fred for my birthday! YAY! DId you know that it's no longer made? I mean, no new DVDs are produced for this gem of a movie? My SIL rocks for finding me one!

62... not bad...

"Drop Dead Fred", which I'm watching at this very moment, still reminds me that I should not be one of "them"... One of the modern classics...
