My sister asked tonight what the point of all this was. She put it so well - "If you aren't going to eat it, what's the point of buying all the supplies and working on this for hours?" Well, it's fun (so some of us) and then you have an amazing decoration for the holidays.
Let's be clear - this is not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of patience and dedication to finish a gingerbread house. Some may drop out of the race, some may not even participate. Just trust me, if you start this race, it's a long haul, but it pays off.
Here's my finished product below. Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Good for you! Were you listening to TSO while you made it? That would certainly keep you inspired!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out so good!!!! Love the roof ;-)

ReplyDeleteHow flipp'n sweet is that and how cool are you for making your own gingerbread! My sister and I buy a kit every year and love to decorate it, but to make your own...I don't think I would have the patience.

Awesome! Props on makeing the dough yourself. I got mine at Michael's and it still turned out looking like a house in the ghetto!
ReplyDeleteBeachbody - All I have done so far is Turbo. I am addicted to Turbo. But I don't lose weight anymore! I want to order either P90X (hubby wants it) or Chalean Extreme but I have yet to order it. I am also starting to do the Shakeology meal replacements. I ama Beachbody coach and I need to get my ass in gear and get my business going.
