Bath & Body Works

Have you ever actually purchased a lotion from B&B Works for yourself or do you just have an entire closet full of gifts from holiday exchanges, baby shower parting gifts, or people that don't know you or what to give you gifts. I can honestly say that the last time I purchased anything for myself at that store was in high school - scent, pear. Anyone else?

If I am desperate, these lotions will do in a pinch, but they are just greasy slime that does not actually help your skin and will knock you out with fragrance (and possibly offend the entire room). What cracks me up is that they sell them in a kit, so you can get the triple threat of Moonlight War Path, Japenese Cherry Bomb, or Killer Cucumber Melon Rage. Shower gel, lotion, AND spray? That makes me want to sneeze just typing it.

This applies only to the Bath & Body Works line, the apothecary stuff is better and that shiny, minty lip gloss that comes in the green tube is great. However, if I see Warm Vanilla Sugar hand soap and lotion in someone's bathroom, chances are, I just won't wash my hands. Blech.

i hear you on this one. for my mom - she likes it for some reason so i'm actually quite thankful to be able to buy this for her as an "add-on" kind of gift.
i LOVE the CO Bigelow lip gloss you speak of and i also enjoy their wallflower plug-ins and aromatherapy soaps, but NOT THEIR TRADITIONAL LOTIONS, etc. ewww.
p.s. - i JUST looked at a little "gift pack" of victoria's secret lotions and do not have the heart to re-gift it... it's such an obvious re-gift.

There is one scent from Bath and Body Works that I love. It's discontinued, but every once in awhile they bring it back for a few weeks, so I'll buy a lotion or a shower gel for myself.

Other than that, I don't use it and have successfully regifted every B&B Works item I've been given, except for one lotion. I don't like to use it, but when my hands are cracking and bleeding (which they tend to do) and I don't have anything else, it helps in a pinch.

I hear you. However I ADORE the eucalyptus mint apothecary stuff. (Which I know you excluded from the items you disdain.)

However, I hate saying this - but the consistency of the cheapie lotions is PERFECT for hot weather. It's not too much, it soaks in quickly and it's great.

My neighbor uses B&B products, I consider it good practice for my nose. Hmm, what is that smell? Coconut-Lime, Rainkissed Leaves or is that Cucumber-melon! I must confess, I do love their Twisted Peppermint Bath scrub

The only soap T. will use is their coconut-Lime glycerin soap. We also use their hands soap. I do wear (on occasion) their lotions because they don't burn my hands, but at night I use other lotion to help with my dry skin. I just don't like lotion on my hands.

I've tried to quit stocking my home with their handsoaps, but I always end up going back to them. They're my favorite, and I like how the scents match my wallflowers. That "Killer Cucumber Melon Rage" sounds like something I'd like to try in the summer.

But some of the scents can be overbearing, and I HATE HATE HATE when people use their body sprays in an attempt to mask the smell of cigarette smoke. Yuck!

C.O. Bigelow mentha lip shine rocks.

That is all.
