Do you talk on the phone while pumping gas?

Nope. in fact, even if it IS a myth about the whole catching on fire if talking on the phone while talking thing, it still annoys me when people do it.

nope. never. some stations won't even turn the pump "on" if a person is on the phone.

i also don't open my car doors when i've got the gas pump attached to my car - it creates static and can result in a large, dangerous "BOOM!"

i don't either... mostly because i work in the news business and have fallen into the fear we put in our viewers about how dangerous it is!!! it has something to do with static electricity i think...

I never do - I'm tempted, though, when I get a really slow pump and I'm bored just standing there. I guess I'm afraid of the static theory, whether it's really true or not......

No, I'm too busy trying to entertain Athena.

But a couple weeks ago I DID see a guy smoking while pumping... and nobody said anything. I drove to a different station. I wasn't letting that jackass blow up me and the Bee.
