The Water Horse

Part of the fun of having nieces and nephews, young cousins, or kids, is that you get to see movies that you would not admit to seeing on your own. However, I rented The Water Horse last night by myself. I have been wanting to see this movie about Nessie since it was in theaters.

Review: The first half was actually good. Set in Scotland during WWII, the scenery is beautiful, the accents are fantastic, and the story line is touching. Second half gets pretty ridiculous when the boy actually rides "Crusoe" (as the boy names it) in Loch Ness. My advice...take it for what it is and watch it with little ones.

I haven't seen this movie, but I'm interested to see how they take the story of Nessie.

Part of the fun of being boring is writing about The Water Horse... AND, that wasn't a review, you erased the first half of the movie by simply saying it was "good," and then ruined the second half by telling us he rode the monster...and for whatever reason, you gave us the intimate detail of what the boy calls "nessie," which is probably something that comes up near the end of the movie, but don't give us the boy's name, which probably comes up in the first 2 minutes...arrrrrgh!

Apparently on your blog if you wish to have a movie review you must have a formal Ebert and Roeper style review! :)

I would like to see this movie, not that I would expect too much from it but I think it would be a fun movie to watch!

I watched this movie (and Juno) this weekend. I thought this movie was cute and fun. Terry actually picked this one out! T&I were entertained. And of course I got all sappy at the end and tried to hold back tears...of course I cry at commercials so it wasn't a surprise I cried at this movie :)

Juno was fun also! I really really liked it!

Good suggestions!
