Severely Addicted

I have come to realize that I am now severely addicted to caffeine. Now, I don't drink coffee all day (in fact, that grosses me out). Usually, I have a cup or two in the morning and then drink water all day. I then find myself needing another little perk around 4 or 5pm. Now, on the weekend, my routine is off. If I don't have coffee or diet Coke, I will definitely miss it.

Are you addicted?

I don't drink coffee or pop anymore...it's been about 3 years, but once in a great while, when I'm at my parents house, I'll have a coke zero, because they are obsessed with all the "zero" pop. I do also have Bacardi Diet once in a blue moon. Pop makes my mouth taste like shit.

Yes, I must have my one cup of coffee every morning. I think it's more about routine than addiction.

My day wouldn't feel right if I didn't have it. I also make sure that I only have one so that I don't move into a full-fledged addiction.

Must. Have. Coffee.

I love my coffee in the morning. I have to have at least one cup everyday.

I let myself have starbucks twice a week and on those days I will actually get out of bed early and leave early so I can get my coffee!! That is saying something, b/c I don't get up early for just anything!

I did give up drinking pop everyday. I allow myself one pop during the week and then I will have a couple on the weekends. However, ever since I started doing that I have become even more addicted to coffee in the morning!

I will have coffee once in awhile. Usually I have a coffee on Saturday mornings with my sister and then that's the only day during the week that I also drink pop. The rest of the week I drink water and milk.

I used to drink coffee every single day until I was pregnant. Now that you mention it, that was probably caffeine withdrawal, not morning sickness. Hmm...well, I'll be damned!

I use to drink 3 double lattes a day at times, so it was pretty bad. I stopped when I got pregnant and I still can only have like one cup of coffee per day because I'm breastfeeding. They claim you can have caffeine while breastfeeding, but I tell ya Ms. Bee goes CRAZY if I have too much.

I agree Hurley. Pop gives you poop mouth that I just don't care for.

Hurley - coke zero has cancer-causing agents in it. If you need for me to find the article for you, I shall. (At least the Mexican version of zero does.)

No coffee for me - it'll stunt my growth. Seriously, though. I've never liked it.

I do like the occasional coca-light, it's SO much better than Diet Coke. Seriously, if I could bring one home for all of you, I would. Een, can you back me up on that?

i too must have coffee. i drink it on my way to work, then i have another at work. then at least 2 bottles of water during the day at work - and a pop (diet something) at lunch.

normally another pop at home at night.

if i don't have caffeine, i tend to get a headache. and i'm cranky(er) than normal. :)

All I can say is that I need my 24oz Diet Mountain Dew (or DMD, as Iris and I call it) in the morning, after that it's all water for the rest of the day.

I thought to drink Mountain Dew, you had to play in the NBA? Maybe I'm wrong, but I do know to drink Code Red, you have to have a baby before you're 14... Any-way, 2 Pretzels, pay attention, I said once in a great while...that means it has happened twice, or was your concern for my parents, in which case, Coke Zero is the least of their problems (my Mom salts her salad, and my Dad thinks 3 hotdogs and chips for dinner on Sunday is fine, bcuz he skipped lunch.) Last thing: Red Bull is coming out with a Cola in June...I will give that a try, but still sticking to no pop, as some girl, somewhere, from some place said "it gives me poop mouth that I just don't care for."

andy always would come home at night with a big 44-oz mt. dew fountain pop from the gas station... and i'd steal a sip here and there.

now he's switched to diet (nasty!!!) so i find myself picking up one on my way home from work now.

there's something about the fountain pops-- they taste so much better than out of a can or bottle!

that's my daily caffeine addiction, since i think coffee tastes like liquid wood.

I do not ingest much caffeine, either when I'm pregnant or when I'm not.

I even order decaf coffee drinks. I know, you hard core coffee people out there are probably cringing at the decaf statement.

I want to punch people that give me the eye roll over my decaf latte orders. I like lattes but don't want a hyper baby...so there a-hole.

Why are you giving your baby coffee?!? I am a big fan of the eye roll, and am told I do it when I don't know that I am doing it. I usually just say "hey, I love you, you know I do, but apparently, whatever you did just now was either so annoying or dumb, that my body has decided to be done with you, without my consent." The middle finger?...okay, I can probably control that and just choose not to.
