Eau de Fajitas

Do you ever notice that when you leave a Mexican restaurant, you really reek of it's food? I guess usually when people leave, they (me) are too bombed to notice, but tonight was a more somber (sober) night and the refreshing scent of refried beans and mexican beef clung so tightly to me that my friend even noticed later when I stopped over to say hi to him.

Him: "Hey, what'd you do tonight?"
Me: "Went to El Camino with the family."
Him: "Oh yeah, I thought I smelled that."

Ew.

FYI: Just because somber and sober share 5 letters, doesn't mean they are the same word. I'm not going o go as far as to write both definitions, I'll let you do that leg work. ALSO, I do agree that I'm to bombed to notice, but I smell it on others, and don't like it.

1 more comment on Somber and Sober: This guy at work says "I tried to "lament" that to her.", as a substitute for relay.

Ugh, I always hate that. My family and I went to El Zarape in BG this weekend and we all left smelling particularly "zesty".

This happens with Panera and Subway as well. Maybe the yeast from the bread but it seems to linger on everything I take into those places.

Thank you Hurley for explaining basic vocabulary to me. If you would read between the lines, the evening was not our usual hoopla, it was actually a more serious gathering. I didn't feel the need to explain WHY we had a more serious gathering, but if you would like to know, well you will just have to wonder.

PS Remember, this is MY blog, to express MY feelings, and MY thoughts, not an open ground for your criticism.

Jesus, don't go all "Moe at Leeworthy's wedding" on me. I for the second time, and probably not the last time, am sorry. This blog is your "tree," and I will try harder not to throw it in the pool.

WK: I love El Zarape!!! yummy!!!

and it's true. and, it's particularly bad after eating at Don Pablo's....

the other place where you walk out smelling uh, "not so fresh" is Sakura - the new japanese kabachi restaurant. good food, bad smells.

I used to work at Don Pablo's in college, and I wouldn't even go out for a beer afterward until I took a shower. And, I kid you not, the smell of that place seeped out my pores. When I washed my hair, the steam would lift the smell of tacos out of it. Gross!

I used to work a Fridays and you would smell like Fajitas after leaving work. Must be something with the sizzling hot plates they served them on

It smells so close to B.O. that I always worry if people think that I have B.O. or just loves me tacos. (I DO loves me tacos)
