Halloween Story

Today at work I walked into the women's bathroom and there was a GIANT MAN in there that looked a little shaggy ala he could have been a vagrant. I yelled, "HEY, THIS IS THE WOMEN'S BATHROOM," and he turned to me with his "Halloweenie" in his hand and mumbled something, turned around, and continued to pee all over the floor, half in, half out of a stall. So i ran out of the bathroom and called security. THEN a guy from a meeting comes out and tells me he's with them. WHAT THE HELL!?!?!

Here's some irony...last Halloween, exactly one year ago today, I was working out at the gym (all women's gym I must point out) around 6:30 PM. I was lifting at the free weight station which is in front of large windows facing Monroe St., a highly trafficked avenue. All of a sudden, my friend says to me, "DO YOU SEE THAT GUY?" Then I see him, outside the gym window, facing us, wearing a trench coat, holding his "Halloweenie" in hand, although he wasn't peeing (I think you get my drift here). Police called, etc...

Let's hope my Halloween tradition ends here and in 2008 I can just have a hot dog roast.

The Foundation.....

What happens when the foundation, the cornerstone, of your blog is no more?

Someone emailed me letting me know that the link to find their hobbit
name is not working, and IT IS NOT! The page will not load and thus
no one can find out what their hobbit name is. I will continue to check
every day and let you know when the site is working again. God willing,
it comes back up.

You can keep checking for yourself if you like: Hobbit Name Generator

Elephants on Parade...on 80-90

Check out what I saw on the turnpike:

Turns out, this plastic pachyderm was on his way to an
Indiana Fair of some sort. Only on I-80.

What is everyone being for Halloween this year?
P.S. You can tell me what your significant other,
pet, kid, or sibling is being if you want.

I am back from a crazy weekend in Chicago! Wicked was amazing...everyone was right. Listening to the music and having read Wicked a few years ago really helped the experience. The Chicago Theater was gorgeous: very ornately decorated in gold, red velvet, and marble. One of the ushers told us that this show has sold out every night for 2 years in Chicago. I can see why.

Come On....

I bet the driver has on a t-shirt that says "Spoiled Rotten"
or "Angel" with devil horns. In case you can't read
this jewel of a plate, it says "LUVDRMA." Ugh.

Ride the Lightning....

Metallica's best cover band Battery will be back at Gatorz this Friday.

I will be there around 9. Who's in?

New Arena Site

The new arena construction is under way.
Here are some pictures from the SeaGate Centre.

Congratulations to my sister, woman of steel

Congrats to Jamie, who ran in the Chicago Marathon yesterday.
Jamie, I am so incredibly proud of and amazed by you.

Here is an excerpt from Jamie's post race email:
I can't get my overall place,
but my finishing time is listed...3 hours and 44
minutes. I was shooting for 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Under the circumstances, however, I am very happy that
I finished and that I went to the airport, not the
hospital, afterward! I think it was probably at about
4 hours that they officially called the race.

Brag to me....

Come on, give me an accomplishment of which you are proud.
No, "I gave money to a charity," or, "I helped this old guy."
Must be self-involved.
Thank you to Two Pretzels for blogging about my 9 months
of no smoking mileston. You are a dear supportive friend and I love you!

BRAG! I wanna hear it.

U.S. Citizenship Test

This came from the Glenn Beck website.

Would you pass the U.S. citizenship test?
The newly-restructured U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services exam (administered beginning 2008), challenges immigrants to a list of tough questions, spanning history, politics, geography, language and culture, before citizenship is legally earned.

Click here to take the test. DO IT AND POST YOUR SCORE! I got 8/10.
PS No cheating, no googling, no asking your neighbor.
