Halloween Story

Today at work I walked into the women's bathroom and there was a GIANT MAN in there that looked a little shaggy ala he could have been a vagrant. I yelled, "HEY, THIS IS THE WOMEN'S BATHROOM," and he turned to me with his "Halloweenie" in his hand and mumbled something, turned around, and continued to pee all over the floor, half in, half out of a stall. So i ran out of the bathroom and called security. THEN a guy from a meeting comes out and tells me he's with them. WHAT THE HELL!?!?!


Here's some irony...last Halloween, exactly one year ago today, I was working out at the gym (all women's gym I must point out) around 6:30 PM. I was lifting at the free weight station which is in front of large windows facing Monroe St., a highly trafficked avenue. All of a sudden, my friend says to me, "DO YOU SEE THAT GUY?" Then I see him, outside the gym window, facing us, wearing a trench coat, holding his "Halloweenie" in hand, although he wasn't peeing (I think you get my drift here). Police called, etc...


Let's hope my Halloween tradition ends here and in 2008 I can just have a hot dog roast.

Wicked

I am back from a crazy weekend in Chicago! Wicked was amazing...everyone was right. Listening to the music and having read Wicked a few years ago really helped the experience. The Chicago Theater was gorgeous: very ornately decorated in gold, red velvet, and marble. One of the ushers told us that this show has sold out every night for 2 years in Chicago. I can see why.

Congrats to Jamie, who ran in the Chicago Marathon yesterday.
Jamie, I am so incredibly proud of and amazed by you.

Here is an excerpt from Jamie's post race email:
I can't get my overall place,
but my finishing time is listed...3 hours and 44
minutes. I was shooting for 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Under the circumstances, however, I am very happy that
I finished and that I went to the airport, not the
hospital, afterward! I think it was probably at about
4 hours that they officially called the race.
