Black Friday

Are you going out shopping the day after Thanksgiving? I had considered it only slightly, but when I saw this posted in Starbucks: "Open at 3:30 AM on Black Friday!" I quickly decided against it.

3:30 AM? What happened to going to Taco Bell late at night?

Wow. Also, this perked my interest as to why Black Friday is called "Black Friday." From several sources, it seems that this crazy shopping day is named because it is a day that retailers are always in the black, or making a profit. Happy Thanksgiving!

I have never been out shopping on this day. Large groups of people in general drive me crazy and shopping drives me crazy...this isn't a day for me! Though some of the deals look pretty sweet, I can't manage the courage to go out!

Yeah, your sources are correct! Many businesses in general make most of their yearly profit over the next couple of weeks. That is crazy!

NEVER. No way. I have never shopped anywhere on this day, and I never plan to. I just think it's plain ol' annoying and ridic.

Although I'm secretly jealous of the people who CAN go shopping in the United States on Black Friday, I for one, would never get up at 3:30 a.m. to drink caffeine at Starbucks. That's nuts.

First, I apologize for not reading your blog in forever.

However, the only way I'd be shopping at 4am is if I just left the bar and I'm waaaaasted! Don't need Starbucks - just give me a Red Bull and vodka! But seriously, no, I did not and never plan on shopping on this day.

I thought it was called Black Friday because...wait for it...330am is when you see the most black people, because 330am for them is like our noon.
